Success of the Bolsheviks Revolution
The success of the Bolshevik Revolution can be attributed to the social and political conditions that prevailed during that time. The unpopularity of the Provincial Government among the masses and the growing resentment were important causes for the success story behind the revolution. The well disciplined soldiers of the Red Guard and their skill in warfare was no match to the ill equipped army and unsophisticated technology used by the soldiers of the Provincial government. Moreover, this army was financed by Germany in exchange for Russia's withdrawal from the war after the revolution. Furthermore, the Mensheviks were more supportive to the Provincial government which went against them and as such the masses supported the Bolsheviks who were against the Provincial Government that supported the war and the nobility. Besides, the Bolshevik army took control of the transport, communication, industries and naval base at Kronstadt making it impossible for the Provincial Government to make further advances in their support. In addition, the dynamic leadership of Lenin, Leon Trotsky and Stalin was another cause of the victory of the Bolshevik revolution. Finally the powerful slogans of the Bolsheviks Peace, Bread, Landand All Power to the Soviets instigated the people of Russia to over throw the Provincial Government and place all powers with the Soviets.
