Russian Revolution
The Russian Revolution of February 1917 and the Bolshevik Revolution of October 1917 were two most important world events that happened in the early 20th century. Tsar Nicholas II had forced Russia into the war and had devastated the economy of Russia .Therefore unable to bare the atrocities of the Tsar and to oppose the current condition in Russia, the women of Russia went out on a mass demonstration to end the autocratic rule of the Tsar. The over throw of Tzar Nicholas II marked an important phase in the history of Russia and was termed as popularly called the February Revolution. This was followed by the formation of the Provisional Government in Petrograd which was ruled by the bankers, lawyers, industrialists, and capitalists who did not help in improving the situation in Russia. The October Revolution in Petrograd overthrew the Russian Provisional Government and gave the power to the local soviets dominated by Bolsheviks. Lenin, the leader of the Bolshevik party promised to improve the condition of Russia and the popular motto of the Bolshevik All power to the soviets came to be acknowledged by the people of Russia.
