In the 21st century, the science of psychology begins a second century of looking at the fundamental nature of human experience--behavior, thinking, and feeling. Cyber psychology is defined as “the study of the human mind and behavior in the context of human-technology interaction.” The increasing field of cyber psychology encompasses all psychological phenomena that are related with or exaggerated by emerging technology.
Cyber comes from the word cybernetics, the study of the operation of control and communication; whereas psychology is the study of the mind and behavior. On the other hand, mainstream research studies appear to focus on the consequence of the Internet and cyberspace on the psychology of individuals and groups.
