Seminar on Congress

Seminar on Congress of the United States is conducted in the United States Capitol in Washington D.C. which includes the Senate and the House of Representatives. The congress is a bicameral legislature of the U.S. government and has a significant part to play in the decision making part of the legislative Senate. Seminars are conducted on different field of requirements based on the legislative powers vested in the Constitution to the Congress.

The House and the Senate are equal opponents which are to ensure that no law is passed without the consent of both the chambers. In academic terms, Congress is defined as the one which reflects all the strengths and weaknesses. It has the capability to reflect regional idiosyncracies, ethnic, religious, racial and professional diversity besides the decisions passed out by the government and accepted by the society including waging war against nations. Congress has the capability to sort the best solution with explanations and think beyond the existing social relationship which other chambers do willingly.

The first seminar on Congress was convened as a gathering of twelve representatives of the thirteen British colonies in North America which was later devised as bicameral congress. Principle of separation of powers had Congress as its median point. The formative era, the partisan era and the committee era were the earlier formation of seminars on Congress. The committee era witnessed the formation of a longer term congress power where senior Congressmen gained more and more power that led to the evolution of the contemporary era which has been in vogue since 1970s.

Major changes were brought about by the Congress like fighting for the Great Society program to fight poverty, the Watergate scandal, and the political action committees which led to soft money contributions for the Congress. The power of Congressional existence grew over years which finally broke free of the Republicans control and became independent democratic power around the year 2007.

There are divisions of Congress such as Library of Congress, Congressional Research Service, Congressional Budget Office and Lobbyists based on their nature of work, task to be accomplished in the legislative. Seminars on Congress are served with the purpose of Sessions, Joint Sessions, Bills and resolutions, among other duties. Public had derived the body as a middleman between the two chambers while relying on it to work either way for the welfare of the country and its citizens.
