Practical Politics Seminar in Lobbying

Practical Politics is defined as the application of implementations in the civil society based on practical problems, existing situation rather than hypothetical moral or ideological considerations. In easy terms, it can be said as real government or a political system that is close to the real world compared to some of the existing laws which are not applicable in practical day-to-day life. While individuals, the citizens of the country live in a particularly confined boundaries attending to regular chores, it is not the only right for every person and they have other works which a community must do in unison.

In a particular community, there exists number of problems related to unemployment, families breaking up due to misunderstanding where children are neglected and abused among others. Based on contemporary political practice, it is not an easy task to uproot all these social problems which the government usually tends to ignore as not of substantial importance. But, in reality the individuals are the cause for the existence of the government and when it fails to realize it, practical politics come into picture.

In U.S. many policies and laws that are supposed to be implemented had not be done so due to intervention of different parties. Some laws are essential for the welfare of the community but the public is well unaware of the requirement and sometimes those made doesn’t reach the knowledge of the society thus separating them from the legislative process as if it is for some other person or entity.

Criticizing the situation, scholars said that whenever the leaders try to innovate a new political issuance it meets with strong regret hence leading to the downfall of the proposed plan. Major sector of the public is dissatisfied with the government action as they are not sticking to practical politics which is the need of the hour. Campaign promises are more vague and some of them when it reaches the legislative senate becomes invalid but the winning candidate wouldn’t have time to alleviate everyone. As a matter of fact, the politics in vogue could be changed by the public if they wish to and are not stuck to any particular kind set by rulers as it is widely believed.
