Practical Politics
Practical Politics is the constant revival of public policy beliefs, methods and ideologies in order to suit the necessity of contemporary citizens. A majority of the people of United States believe they aren’t being done justice by the government and the representatives who are working on their behalf. Such massive dissatisfaction arises only when practical politics is not adopted to cope up with changing times and varying essentials.
In fact, the democratic politics that exists today is no means a constant set of rules because the government had always welcomed changes but most times it was biased favoring a single side. No political scenario is constant or a law unchangeable. A civilian voter has the rights to query the superior authorities to device plans for his well being and similarly adopting politics suitable in reality should be the core concern.
After analyzing the requirement of practical politics and its applications, analysts suggest five major principles that have the capacity to apply politics in reality which would bring desired outcomes. The first of the five is inclusion which decides the methodology to address public problems which require voluntary participation of vast number of general public sans the decision making authorities. When people affected by the issue addresses the solutions, results will be far more close to reality. Comprehension is the next principle which is a decision making process initiated after extensive and comprehensive study of politics to which the community should respond in voicing their opinion.
Third is deliberation which states the pros and cons of making a political decision which always have two sides of the coin. Circumstances have unique issues and one single law cannot be applied to every problem faced by the public. Even experienced analysts wouldn’t be able to assess the outcome of certain conditions and in such cases, deliberation is necessary. Cooperation as the name says, is all about working together and in applying practical politics, being united is a crucial element of decision making proposals.
The fifth principle to be applied for public welfare before creating political decisions is Realism, a term that refers to in depth understanding of the reality of the situation and to the extent it had affected the social status. Especially, it talks about wide number of obstacles that come in the way before implementing practical politics which should be overcome for successful adaptation of the suggested solution. The five principles have the single objective to provide feasible solutions that last longer for stability in society.
