Politics of Developing Areas

Politics of developing areas is widely influenced by an array of factors from available material resources, political scenario, guiding leaders to the culture of the society and many more. The term developing itself has been subjected to strong controversy terming it to be of abusive nature degrading an area or country while it is inevitable that it would be the apt word to refer to such places which had seen immense growth within a span of few years or so. The average standard of living of citizen, their access to latest improvisation in all strata of life helps determine the status of an area/country. Hence, developing areas cannot be defined in one common word but it varies from one place to another.

At times, a place or area with low level of material well being is said as developing when they achieve a place in the market while even countries like China and India that is hugely supplied with natural resources are termed developing due to the abounding population that denies basic amenities to all class of people. In USA, despite being said to be one of the developed countries of the world, there are areas which are still developing to catch up with the changes.

 The politics of developing areas involves the development process, its significance in improving besides key factors like International Politics of Democracy promotion, States and Markets, Gender and Development, and the politics of globalization. Even though it sounds displaced, study of history helps determine a country’s position then and now while developing is termed using post colonial improvement. In this case, it is not referred to third world but about nations which has an average income much lesser compared to industrial nations but depending more on export crops which is again threatened by rapid growth of population.

Countries such as Cuba refuses to accept terms like developing as they have less infant mortality rate compared to USA while parts of Africa is affected worst by HIV virus yet remains abreast in the economy market. Under developed and non-industrial nations had crossed the border to become fast developing countries but there are still some poor nations which is gracefully referred to as Less economically developed countries by international organizations.  

The U.S. and Western Europe have high agricultural imports with natural resources while other countries are fast catching up by all terms to shed the politics of developing areas and become super powers that are consistent with high rate of income.
