Politics and Society

Society:

 Society is referred to as a group of people. This group of people is related in terms of social status or social networks. They are also related in terms of roles.

The relationship between individuals who share a distinctive culture is the main characteristic feature of a society. A subset of people or an entirety of humanity is also covered under the umbrella of society.

Society enables its members to accomplish the needs which they cannot fulfill alone.  On the whole society has got a collection of varied individuals who had given it an economic, industrial or social infrastructure.

The hunter-gatherer societies, nomadic pastoral societies are the societies that were identified by the scientist in the earlier stage. Saxons, the western society are the broader cultural group which emerged as society.

With society being a group of people, politics deals with the decisions made by the group. This term has been observed in group interactions, especially in religious institutions, and other academic institutions. The world politics is origins from the Greek word politika which is stated in the “affairs of the city” by Aristotle.

Looking into Egypt, it is a country with 2 million years of history. Though it has got many resources, the people were suffering with poverty and low education rates. This runs through the international and domestic politics of the country.

Only a few elites were living a rich life in Egypt during the days of monarchy. This has resulted in revolution in 1952 which promised the people a better life. But the results were worse which bonded the people more in new forms of corruption.

The Politics and Society of Egypt was a failure, which made the country to route their journey to democracy in 1866. A liberal democratic constitution was established in Egypt in 1923 and the restoration of healthy representative political life was confirmed in Egypt. Egypt has established a bureaucratic authoritarian regime which made it a pioneer in the journey to political reformation since 1976. If these processes were continued in Egypt it wouldn’t have been place in the third wave. But the country faced difficult time since there is sincere attraction towards democracy. The country was not that democratic as expected. It became less democratic than other countries that have started their process after Egypt.

On the other hand Media plays a vital role on the relationship between politics and society. The modern media is said to have a prominent influence which has even changed the history of politics.

The University of Florida has established Askew institute on Politics and Society. The political issues in a certain region were examined and addressed through this institute.
