International Politics & Climate Change
International Politics: The international theory book written by Kenneth Waltz in the 1979 explains a new theory which has surpassed the cognitive limitations in the past. The neoclassical economic theory influenced the people with Waltz arguing the fundamental “ordering principle” of the international system.
Every countries foreign and security policies have been subject to rapid change after the end of the world war. The development of the country was accelerated after the hit of September 11. Many other occurrences in countries like United States marked a big change. With the debates surrounding the war on Iraq, the tension between the USA and Europe was brought to light.
With Afghanistan joining the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation, the regional cooperation has confronted new opportunities. It was felt that the support of neighbors is very essential for solving the conflicts in the country and maintaining stabilization and reconstruction in the country. On the other hand the aggression between India and Pakistan persisted. Later, the Pakistani started fearing the strategic competition in Afghanistan. This has resulted in a peace process between India and Pakistan called Indo-Pakistan peace process was embraced. The peace building in Afghanistan; the American and European involvement in Afghanistan and Pakistan’s peace building was interlinked.
Here comes the question of foreign security. Talking about the International Politics the questions of foreign, security, and developmental policy have become tangled.
Considering the Global climate change, the environmental constraints on human activities, the history global climate change corporation, and the environmental consequences of human activities are to be discussed properly. The realism, neorealism, historical materialism, neoliberal institutionalism and regime theory are included in the analysis of the international politics and the global climate change.
The climate change has brought forth the risk for human life which has been realized by human being slowly. As estimated by the United Nations, the important and emergency appeals for humanitarian aid in 2007 were climate related. The science that is involved in the climate change is now understood clearly by everyone. The intergovernmental panels on climate change found that the by 2050 there would be reduction nearly half the amount of 1990 levels in 2050. However there was no way to avoid the raise of the temperature up to 2ºC.
Later the link between the global warming and competition for natural resources marked the effects of globalization and also the external relations as observed by the European security.
