Government and Metropolitan Problems are the twins in a urbanized country where nearly eight percent of the cities have access to basic and high end amenities for satiating individual needs. Governance policies and strategies change in developed cities due to its dense population, need of requirement throughout the year and practical problems in implementing suggested policies.

Within a span of the century, the number of urban cities in USA had increased drastically due to industrialization and immigration trend from people around the world. Annexation of the government with the towns and villages surrounding the town form a metropolitan which helps the city to cope up with ever growing population and expansion of land helps to avoid space distribution for the population. But, it has its own set of cons including government control where municipal controlled areas come under state government where the functioning style differs.

Long back, the New York, Chicago or Philadelphia were not the huge, bustling cities that is seen today but a group of towns which was later collected together to form a metro city. Annexation and consolidation of original boundaries paved way for these cities to be formed. Governance in metropolitan region evolved during the 20^th century itself and when federal government budget couldn’t manage high rise it initiated the national agency to support urban development and exercise metropolitan governance. Despite repeated trials, government’s metropolitan problems just increased and it is such a rarity to hear serious discussion on regional government in modern days.

Metropolitan planning organization was formed to coordinate with local government officials and state government with related to transportation investments, based on the transportation legislature besides providing policy advice for agencies. Bringing together the public and the private sectors, the metropolitan chamber of commerce and regional economic development work towards establishing the benefits of urban regions to stabilize business investments and retain the local business.

Based on the facts that state various problems related to metropolitan government establishment, a new paradigm called Metropolitan Economic Strategy was formed. It’s objective is to conglomerate people of all communities, culture and society into one which would help sustain prosperity enabling everyone to live a quality life in the nation. Urban regions contribute higher share for gross domestic product thus leading to the development of the country’s income which urges the government to occupy more regions into Urban which is easy target for criticism. Brushing aside Metropolitan problems, government of U.S. approach in implementing it is a crucial element for the future generation.
