Goals and Direction for United States Foreign Policy

The United States has established certain standards for the interaction of the United States with foreign nations. These interactions help United States to set standards for its organizations and individual citizens. This policy is called the foreign policy of United States. It is a well known truth that U.S is highly influential in the world.

There are turning points in every civilization when its attempt to bring in new situations. Eventually, the United States in its pace and scope of creating a revolutionary changes, has realized that there are self imposed assignment like the leader of a non-communist regime faces the challenge of this enormity.  

There is a need to bring together the nation on its foreign policy goals of peace maintaining the justice for the whole world. Though there may not be a difference between the Republicans and the Democrats but there are differences of opinions in calculating the best method to achieve these foreign policy goals.

In this arena there are two questions which are to be answered to the citizen of the United States. The first question is that how can the United States plan and act put together the flexibility, boldness and the imagination towards the factors that the leadership demands now a days? Whereas the second question asks how can this democracy mobilize the free minds of the people to face the problems of the world which is drastically changing?

There is an effort of intelligence and imagination called forth by these questions. A long focus and ranger vision is needed from the part of the government which can enlist from the universities and the school of the country.

The foreign policy of the United States has been felt on various fields. The war of United States on Drugs has been severed with its action in the control of illicit drugs like cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine. The United States has found certain countries like Brazil, Burma, Colombia, Jamaica and so many other countries as the drug producing countries.

The United States has also toiled in aiding other countries. It has also been appreciated as the world biggest donor.

Looking at the geography of the United States there are 28 nations in alliance with NATO of the United States. The United Kingdom, Canada and much of Europe are geographically and spiritually in alliance with U.S. The United States is the founding member of the world largest NATO.
