Democratic politics

Democratic politics of the United States is derived from the step stone laid by the foundation fathers and political philosophers who led way to political thoughts, policies and the establishment of democracy. Before the system of democratic government policy was established, the rulers of the nation experimented with monarchy, hierarchy, tyranny, aristocracy and others but it was the system of people selecting their representative to rule on behalf of them that got widely accepted and is going amiable in contemporary political situation.

The United States of America is a federal constitutional republic in which powers are equally shared between so that no one legitimate body or an individual’s dominance existed in the decision making process. Powers vested upon the national government is shared between the President, Congress and the Judiciary. The President is the head of state and head of government while decisions made by the presidency is governed, analyzed and approved by the Congress, Senate and the Judiciary, in terms of need. The federal government shares sovereignty with state government while members of these legal bodies are elected by the voting process and supporters of the candidate for the President stores power on winning.

Compared to the democratic development of the world, United States stands apart as the upper house of the legislature is vested with more powers while the Supreme Court has extensively exercised powers besides the separation of power between the legislative and the executive branch. Without second thought, it can be stated that U.S. possess world’s developed democratic system where thirds parties are restricted to make changes to the existing government.

Divisions of the Democratic politics are State government which has powers vested to make laws where Federal and constitutional governance couldn’t act, the local government that acts within the inner circle of the nation with a huge number of cities under its control which is further subdivided into mayor council, the commission and the council manager. With respect to the intervention of the government, major cities had combined two or more forms of governance within the local government sub divisions.

Apart from civilian rights and establishment of protection, democracy in politics allows the civilian to question the government and its activities more prominent that other country policies besides allowed to have equality before law for fair trial, freedom of religion named separation of church and state and the coveted freedom of speech where government has no rights to govern a citizen's non-violent speech of criticism.
