Thales

Thales lived approximately in the middle of 620s – 540s BC, he was born in the city of Miletus. Basically Thales was an engineer. Among the Seven Sages of Ancient Greece, he was the first one. He was famous as the first Greek philosopher, mathematician and also a scientist. He worked as the organizer of the Ionian school of philosophy in Miletus and also a teacher of Anaximander. Miletus was a significant Greek city an Asia Minor in the period of Thales who got recognized for his erudition. He attended numerous schools, magnetizes scientists, philosophers, architects and geographers in Miletus.  Thales was the first man, who suggested that, humans are not the creation of god, but they emerge from water. He was considered as the first Western philosopher. He created his own philosophies and simply came to be known as Thales navigation, Thales telemetric, Thales systems and Thales communications. He was an enthusiastic contestant and died of heat and tiredness while watching the 58th Olympiad.

Work and Achievements:

Thales originated the geometry of lines, so he was praised for introduces the abstract geometry to solve problems like to calculates the height of the pyramids and the distance of the ships from the shore. He was attributed for his introduction of geometry by getting four consequences to Thales Theorem, as a result he was known as the mathematician. He is famous for his practical and theoretical accepting of geometry.

He tried to give detail s about natural phenomena, it admired greatly. All the pre-Socratic philosophers follow his efforts to give the clarification of end matter, change and the survival of the universe with no suggestion to mythology.  Finally Thales refusal of mythological clarification turned into a powerful thought for the scientific revolution. He described the common principles and put onward the theory, and as the effect, he was called as a “Father of Science”. Thales was known as a skilled astronomer, geometer, statesman and sage.
