Socrates

Socrates (469-399 B.C.E) was born in Athens between 471 B.C to 469B.C; his father was the statuary Sophorniscus and the midwife of Pharnarate. His wife name was Xanthippe. Socrates had 3 sons, Lamprocles, Sophroniscus, and Menexenus. He got the habitual training in gymnastics and music. . After some years he made himself as a familiar in geometry, astronomy and deliberated the methods and the principles of the thought and culture of the Greek leaders. He started his life as a sculptor. But he soon deserted art and presented himself to education, visualizes that he had a godly expenses, observed by vision, thoughts and symbols, not really to educate any helpful principle, but to condemn men of lack of knowledge faults  itself for knowledge, and by so doing to endorse their thinker and ethical perfection.

Life of Socrates:

Socrates used a serious way of thinking, and his firm assurance to fact. Socrates got the place in the western Philosophy. Because of he did not leave literary inheritance of his own, we have collected the details from the modern writers. In his young age, Socrates proves a great contract of attention in the scientific theories of Anaxagoras. Since he afterward deserted investigations into the physical world for a keen inquiry of the growth of ethical personality. He served as a soldier in some division in the period of Peloponnesian War. Socrates used his minor economic self-government as a chance to give permanent concentration to create the practice of philosophical conversation.

Socrates saved the life of Alcibiades in the period of 424B.C, and in that situation the courage and patience he displayed were obvious. He does his sense of duty as an ordinary citizen not necessarily in the political position. “Method of Discussion or dialogues” and “Socratic irony” are his famous concise. Socrates energetically contributed in Athenian democracy, counting military service during the Peloponnesian War.   He was damned by the council of 500 because he was not believed the city gods and also he introduced the new gods, they offered to pay a fine, but he refused it, then he swallowed the poison hemlock, in front of his friends.

Socratic Method:

Socrates recognized the” Socratic Method” and “the Socratic irony”. The Socratic Method engages a request a sequence of questions until a disagreement appears cancels the early statement The Socratic Irony is the spot that the interrogator gets that he knows nothing though leading the inquiring.
