Experimental Philosophy

Experimental philosophy is the modernized version of studies in contemporary time where a new field of philosophical inquiry has emerged which deals with questioning the ideas, theories while comparing them with statistical data before being widely accepted by one and all. A conductive research implores the philosophical questions that arise that are determined by empirical data which is the result of extensive surveys conducted among ordinary citizens of the society. The philosophical methodology that relied on priori justification lost its influence with modern age people longing for proven facts than teachings which gave birth to such questions that relate itself to intentional action, different version of linguistic references such as casual and descriptive, and the free well determinisim conflict which is in vogue for a long time.

The execution method of experimental philosophy had opened gates to criticism from many learned philosophers for the belief on empirical data would invariably influence the philosophical questions thus changing the way how the underlying psychological process is interpreted based on intuitions. Conceptual analysis is another area of the philosophical approach which has quantitative analysis, research data as the base of building conclusions. In olden times, it was natural philosophy that later came to be known with a new name. Whatever that is considered true and fact is believed only on things that can be done in real life and not those which can only be said. It is a complete contradiction to the teachings and ideas formed by old age philosophers as it was all about finding the right answers by intuitions, beliefs and situations happening around an individual or society.

Only in the 21^st century, experimental philosophy was widely accepted but its origin dates back to the days when academic studies emerged among people who strived for knowledge. Some of the modern day philosophers strongly believe that it is not a newly created way of empirical data study but the same methodology which was promoted by ancient scholars that got lost in the middle of times only to later come out in the open. David Hume, Rene Descartes and John Locke are some of the well known early philosophers who created the model for using data interpretations to prove facts. Competent concepts during ideal circumstances and pragmatics considerations will foreshadow the study of experimental approach. Even though it is a practical difficulty, the researchers continue to promote data study as it is more contemporary.
