Anthropic principle:

The observations that the physical Universe must be compatible with the conscious life which observe it is the philosophical argument in physics and cosmology which is called Anthropic principle.

This principle was emerged when a response was made to a serious of observations. The values those are consistent with conditions for life is taken by the parameters of the Universe and the laws of nature. The anthropic principle understanding that the existence of the living observers is not possible and so there is a need for certain laws and constants that should be constituted just in this way urges that this phenomenon is a necessity.

In anthropic principle, there were arguments urging that term anthropic has to be a misnomer. No perfect phenomena would demand carbon-based life develop intelligence of human life while singling out the kind of carbon –based life that is among us. On the other hand, the formulation of this principle after all possible detection has taken a considerable time. The studying, trails and errors, ingenuity and inventions of needed instrumentations have taken a long time for the scientist after toilsome history scientific observations on the intellectual domain which is exclusive for there to humans above all other forms on earth and beyond. Their detection needs both scientific principles and intelligence.

There has been so much of confusion and controversy as a result of anthropic principle and all versions of the principle were accused that the deeper physical understanding and research of the universe is being discouraged by this principle. The multiple universe and the intelligent designer are the concepts that emerges while attempting to elaborate the anthropic principle. Both of these concepts are controversial and criticized as untestable and critics have come to a conclusion that the anthropic principle is more philosophical than being scientific one. Tagging it as a philosophical concept is a result of confusion that is raised by applying the anthropic concept to various fields.

Robert Dicke in 1961 noted the age of the universe is not random as it is seen by the living observers. There are many biological factors that make the universe to be in golden age. The universe is not too old and at the same time not too young. Scholars argue there would have sufficient time to create and develop appreciable levels of metallicity if the universe was just one tenth as old as its present age.
