Ernestine Wiedenbach was the founder of helping art of clinical or medical nursing. It is a need based assessment. It includes discomfort causatives, behavioral change and explores the reasons for change.
Virginia Henderson gave 14 basic needs of nursing. The needs are work, play, breathe, eat, drink, eliminate, clothing, temperature, motion, rest, communicate, environment, learn, worship, clean body.
Faye Glenn Abdellah suggested major 21 nursing problems. It was given by proper assessment of comprehensive nursing care practice.
Lydia hall introduced the concept of care, cure and core. It refers to professional medical care assessment of nursing care.
Jean Watson introduced philosophy and science of caring and 10 carative factors. It is social phenomenon of caring.
Patricia Benner introduced novice to expert. She validated Dreyfus model of skill acquisition. Five stages of novice to expert in five stages as competent, expert, proficient, advanced beginner and novice.
