Palliative care is a form of medicinal treatment to reduce the suffering of an individual from diseases. This type of caring reduces delayed treatment and extensive spreading of diseases by proper provision of care. Palliative care is a Latin word meaning Cloak. Main objective of Palliative care is to avoid disease, reduce complexity of illness and stress relief from disease. This ultimately improves the quality of health of an individual and environment.

Distinction between Palliative cares and Hospice care
Aspects of palliative and hospice care are completely different. They differ in their philosophy and service location. In the United States, palliative care is provided in every stage of life to reduce the risk of disease whereas hospice care is provided at the end of individual life. Both palliative caring and hospice caring share same objectives in order to overcome the sufferings. Non-hospice care based on palliative care is provided to control the effect of diseases. This non-hospice treatment improves the health of an individual without any remarkable symptoms in near future.
