ANATOMICAL PATHOLOGY

Anatomical pathology is also called as anatomic pathology. It is a branch of medical science that deals with anatomical specimens. This clinical medicine mainly focuses on cause, nature of occurrence and disease resolution. Main objective of anatomical pathology is to examine the tissues. It helps in understanding the process of disease and death. Anatomical pathologist performs microscopic analysis of individual body issues. A pathologist helps in analysis of cancer cells by biopsy. They diagnose the removed tissues by working in close with surgical operations. Tissues are examined for disease presence, severity of disease and prognosis. With this examination anatomical pathologists perform surgery and post treatment.

Tissue samples like Body fluids can be used for analysis. However, for analyzing pathogenic disease like cancer and tumor formation, analyzing body fluids is pretty much complex. Biopsy is the detailed examination of tissue samples. It can be either invasive or non invasive examination. Anatomical pathologists perform a detailed study of disease causative agent relationship. Anatomical pathology concentrates mainly on clinical pathology to analyze body fluids. When death of an individual is suspected due to chronic disease, physicians usually perform autopsies. This is referred as autopsy pathology.

Individuals who are interested in practicing anatomical pathology work are increasing nowadays. A descriptive skill of physicians helps in better communication to individual and proper interpretation of examination results.
