Analysis Of Research Reports

Introduction:

Research content analysis deals with systematic, quantitative and qualitative description and objective oriented communication.  As years rolled on, research went in detail interpretation of hidden content. There are two existing principles available for content analysis.

• Quantitative approach: For instance, media research
• Qualitative approach: For instance, nursing research and education

Detailed review of literature includes reference from books and journals portrait varieties of opinions and views for every concept, procedures, methods, result and discussions as a means of qualitative interpretation approach. This different views and opinions can be well understood by understanding of history and reasons for various beliefs. Qualitative analysis of research reports depends on narrative data and observations, so that, the observer and other researchers understand in mutual way. Most of the context involves multiple meanings and some degree of interpretation to discuss trustworthiness of research report. Quantitative analysis of research reports predominate qualitative analysis of research reports. Quantitative approach of findings results in confusion of conceptual framework as each author and book readers explain in different way.

Purpose of analysis of research reports:

• Qualitative overview of nursing content: It is a debate context rather than endeavor context. Initially concepts of literature and reasons for the same are put forth. It helps in focus on latent content or manifest. Conceptual text has multiple meanings and underlying principle should be considered in that way.
• Research procedure concept: The review of literature shows a variety of research procedures preferably by each individual. The researcher should understand the underlying concept of context and explain the nursing research procedure more or less similar to conceptual framework.
• Trustworthiness evaluation: Research report should be reliable and procedures have to be evaluated. Concepts create trustworthiness in between qualitative and quantitative approach. Quantitative approach includes reliability, validity and generalisability.
