ALCOHOL ABUSE
Alcoholism is the common term used for alcohol dependence and alcohol abuse. The characteristics of both of these disorders could cause a lot of repeated problems which could be directly tied to an individual’s abuse of alcohol. Abuse of alcohol has serious consequences, which could affect person’s health and personal life and also having a bad impact on people at large. Alcohol abuse is the use of alcohol in any harmful way.
The effects of alcoholism are quite extensive. Alcohol affects each and every parts of the body causing a wide range of health problems, causing a wide range of health problems. Such problems include memory disorders, poor nutrition, difficulty with walking and balancing, liver disease (such as hepatitis and cirrhosis), weakness of muscles (such as heart), high blood pressure, disturbances of heart rhythm, clotting disorders, anemia, weak immunity to infections, irritation and inflammation along the entire gastrointestinal system, chronic and acute problems with the pancreas, high blood fat content, low blood sugar, weak bones and interference with reproductive fertility.
Alcoholism has always been one of the biggest problems to all the countries and several treatments also have been found recently. Most of the alcohol addicts hide the fact while going for any intensive treatments. Most of the people say that alcohol is not a problem at all. However after the period of withdrawal of alcohol the common symptoms begin to come up and these are called as AWS (alcohol withdrawal symptoms). A lot of alcohol addict’s cases have be researched and studied in the rehabs in order to fight alcohol withdrawal symptoms and successfully implemented with the result of new alcohol withdrawal nursing treatments and techniques. After a constant period of withdrawal of alcohol patients tend to exhibit several signs such as palpitation, tachycardia, hypertension, tremors etc. at times the condition could get severe and life threatening signs might also get showed up and this is known as alcohol withdrawal delirium. This situation can be identified by diaphoresis, cardiovascular abnormalities or mental disorder.
