The Ribbons
The Microsoft Office Ribbon is the latest replacement for the normal menu system in the older version of MS office. The Ribbon extends across the top work area in the Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint and it usually appears in the selected windows in the Outlook, giving you contextual commands, tabs and many things which are related to the present operation you are doing or performing. In other words, The Ribbon Graphical user interface offers the user the interface of the application with a big toolbar filled with several graphical representations of various control elements that are grouped y their different functionality. The ribbon could also include tabs in order to expose several different sets of control elements removing the need for various different types of icon-based tool bars. A few of the tabs are contextual and only appears when a certain kind of object is selected, offering particular tools for items such as images or tables. In graphical user interface-based software application, a ribbon is an interface in which a set of toolbars are placed on the tabs in the tab bar. The latest releases of a few of the Microsoft software application have included this type of type with the modular ribbon since their main interface.
