Microsoft Office Picture Manager

Microsoft Office Picture Manager is a program that was first included in the Microsoft Office 2003.  Picture Manager is a basic image management and picture editing software program.  This program was replaced by Microsoft Photo Editor that had been included in the Microsoft Office XP since Microsoft Office 97.  This software program name version was changed several times in beta. It was popularly known as Microsoft Office Picture Manager. This software program allows the user to convert images between many formats such as Paint and also the user crop and resize the picture.

It also has several other advanced features such as batch renaming, saving and editing, red-eye removal, shadows, highlights, fine-tuning of midtones and many more. Microsoft Office Picture Manager has several other easy to use features like one click image compression and the user to resize the picture according to his or her own wish. It does not however, provide any type of text-editing or actual drawing tools.  One of the amazing features of this software program is the ability to link and upload pictures from the Microsoft SharePoint image library.  Thus the user could easily share files such as images among team members over the World Wide Web.  This program also allows the user to export images from program to various other Microsoft Office programs, while enabling the user to specify custom image dimension.

However the Picture Manager lacks many other features of its earlier version, Photo Editor. Microsoft also has suggested the users about how to reinstall, the Photo Editor. Previously, the same thing happened when the Photo Editor replaced the Microsoft Imager while upgrading Microsoft Office 95 to Office 97.  The Microsoft Office Picture Manager doesn’t display the GIF image animation.  The user who is using the Windows 2000 cannot print pictures with the use of the Picture Manager; however the printing functions requires the wizard distributed with the Windows XP.
