Therapeutics is known as a treatment or care for alleviating injury or pain combating the disease. Tools of therapeutics involve drugs, radiation-therapy, surgery, psychiatry and diet. Treatment can be dynamic for curing the disease and not requiring any more treatment once recovered, treatment is done for a long period or cure the injury; diagnostic, for relieving symptoms till body is cured by immune-system; palliative for minimizing un-comfortableness for the patients who does not have any chance to recover; or supportive for keeping the functions of body go on until disease is totally cleared.

Therapeutics is classified on the basis of things which are used in treatment:

Through Matter:

• Through drug – Mesotherapy, chemotherapy and pharmacotherapy.
• Through medical-device.
• Through gene.
• Through gold.
• Through hormone.
• Through organisms – Biotherapy like through virus, bacteriophage and maggot.

• Through electric power – Electrotherapy, electromagnetic-therapy and magnet-therapy.
• Through light.
• Through mechanical – Masso therapy and physiotherapy.

• Through temperature – Through heat i.e. thermotherapy and through cold i.e. cryotherapy.

Through Interactions of human:

• Through counseling – Like psychotherapy.
• Through education.
• Through exercise – Physical or massage-therapy.
• Through modification of lifestyle like taking more healthy diets or improving schedule of sleeping.

1^st or 2^nd line:

Therapy of first-line – It is the treatment which is used in initial stage. It is also known as primary-treatment, primary-therapy as well as induction-therapy.

Therapy of second-line – It is the treatment which is usually given during the time when the work of therapy of first-line stops or doesn’t function.

Therapeutics has many adverse-effects, which may result due to incorrect or unsuitable procedure or dosage. Some occurs during starting, discontinuing or increasing treatment. Few common side-effects are variations in weight of body and levels of enzymes, function’s loss, or variations in pathology detected in microscopic, physiological or macroscopic level. Patients many a times leave the treatment in between due to the side-effects.
