Molecular Biology 

Biology's branch which studies molecular ground of activities of biology is known as molecular biology. Molecular biology coincides wholly or partly with different fields of chemistry and biology, especially biochemistry and genetics. Molecular biology concerns mainly itself along with interactions and understanding between various cell’s system, including interactions in between various forms of RNA, protein and DNA biosynthesis and learning as how such interaction is being regulated.

Another definition of molecular biology is that it is biology’s study on level of molecule including function, makeup as well as structure of molecules important in biology like RNA, proteins and DNA.

Molecular biology’s techniques:

• Expression-cloning – It is molecular biology’s most staple techniques which is used for studying functions of protein. Here in such technique, coding of DNA for protein which is of concern is being cloned, by using restriction-enzymes or PCR, into plasmid, which is called as expression-vector.
• PCR – It is universal technique for the copying of DNA.
• Gel-electrophoresis – It is main molecular biology’s tool. Basic percepts are that RNA, proteins and DNA all can be detached through electric ground.
• Macromolecule probing and blotting.
• Southern-blotting – Is a technique for searching for availability of particular sequence of DNA within the samples of DNA.
• Northern-blotting – Is commonly used for studying expression designs of particular RNA-molecule’s type as comparison between RNA’s other sample’s set.
• Western-blotting – Is a technique that is used broadly for detecting particular proteins present in sample given of the tissue extract or homogenate.
• Eastern-blotting – Is a technique which is used for detecting protein’s post-translation alterations.
• Array – DNA-micro array as known is manifold technique of molecular biology, which includes series of arrays of numerous microscopic positions of the DNA-oligonucleotides, each having picomoles of particular sequence of DNA called as reporters / probes.
• ASO – Is small part of the synthetic-DNA related to series of variable aimed DNA.
