Menopause
The function of ovaries gets halted and comes to permanent cessation stage is referred as menopause. The menopause occurs in midlife of women’s life around the age of late 40’s or early 50’s. The most expected age of menopause is around 42 – 58.This represents that fertility of women is about to end. The transition stage from reproductive state to non reproductive state is referred as menopause due to decreased hormonal activities and quantity in female. However this transition stage will not occur in one night it takes almost some years. It is natural consequence process of aging. The signs and symptoms during menopause transition stage are significant as it disrupts the normal being, their activities and state of healthiness is lost. The women who suffer from some sort of reproductive problem or disorder will undergo menopause in their early age when compared to expected standard timeframe. It is because reproductive disorders will speed up the rate of reaching menopause stage and in between it collapses the state of health individual. Women become more emotional and physically tired during these years.
The word menopause is derived from Greek word ‘pausis’ meaning cessation and ‘men’ meaning month. It literally refers to end of monthly periodic cycles. The permanent stopping of menses is menopause. The menopause may also be present in some of the animals. The menopause date of human female is medically described as last menstrual periodic time, for an individual who do not undergone hysterectomy. The women who have removed their uterus however retaining the ovaries will not undergo any menopause stage, if their periods stop. Menopause cannot be avoided by women when they reach their middle age and beyond. It is advisable for a woman to know and understand the complications and medications to be administered during the menopause stage.
