Cancer

Cancer means, in body, abnormal-cell’s growth which cannot be controlled. We can call also Cancerous-cells as malignant-cells.

Cancer is classified according to following five groups:

  • Carcinomas – Is distinguished by those cells which cover external and internal body parts like lung, colon and breast cancer.
  • Sarcomas – Is comprised of those cells which are situated in cartilage, bone, fat, muscle, connective-tissue and various supportive-tissues.
  • Lymphomas – It starts in tissues of immune-system and lymph-nodes.
  • Leukemias – It starts in bone-marrow. It is accumulated often in bloodstream.
  • Adenomas – It originates in thyroid, pituitary-gland, adrenal-gland, as well as in various other tissues of gland.

Cancers of common type found in a man residing in U.S. are:

  • Prostrate-cancer.
  • Lung-cancer.
  • Colon-cancer.

Cancers of common type found in a woman living in U.S. are:

  • Breast-cancer.
  • Lung-cancer.
  • Colon-cancer.

Cancer is of various types which are:

  • Brain-cancer.
  • Cervical-cancer.
  • Kidney-cancer
  • Cancer in liver.
  • Leukemia.
  • Cancer of skin.
  • Ovarian-cancer.
  • Testicular-cancer.
  • Uterine-cancer.

Cancer’s symptom depends upon location and type of cancer. Like cancer of lung can result in coughing, pain in chest and breath’s shortness. The colon-cancer results in constipation and diarrhea. Few type of cancer does not show any type of symptoms. Like in pancreatic-cancer, there are no symptoms visible till disease is found to have reached the last stage. Here are few symptoms which has the possibility of occurrence during few types of cancer:

  • Chills.
  • Fever.
  • Fatigue.
  • Appetite’s loss.
  • Malaise.
  • Loss of weight.
  • Sweats during night.

We can follow following measures in order to prevent getting cancerous tumor:

  • Eating healthy food.
  • Regularly exercising.
  • Limiting intake of alcohol.
  • Minimizing toxic-chemicals and radiation exposure.
  • Maintaining healthy body weight.
  • Reducing chewing of tobacco and smoking.
  • Reducing exposures to sun.
