Introduction to Mechatronics
Mechatronics is a subject built by combining various other subjects like system design engineering, control engineering, computer engineering, electronic engineering and of course mechanical engineering. By the combination of all these subjects, there can be many useful products designed. In other words, mechatronics can be defined as an approach, which aims synergistic integration of computer science, control theory, electronics and mechanics. Hence, when any product is designed using this combination, the efficiency and the functionality of products can be highly improved.
In order for developing more reliable and economical systems, there are principles of computing, electronics, and mechanics being united in mechatronics. The industrial robots, which most of the industries are using today for performing a wide range of tasks, is one of the best examples of mechatronics systems. There are varieties of questions with regard to mechatronics engineering being dealt in cybernetics engineering. The collaboration of all these subjects will help in inheriting agile and flexible manufacturing properties. As per the control architecture, there are modules of mechatronics included in the equipments that are produced modernly. It is highly helpful for regulating or controlling the systems. Some such well known architectures include hybrid, heterarchy, polyarchy, hierarchy etc. Control algorithms will describe a wide range of methods, which are helpful for achieving an effect technically.
There are many electromechanical systems developed with the principles of mechatronics as well. Since best technologies are being integrated in mechatronics, there is no doubt that the products will be well designed. There are also many online textbooks available for this subject. Most of the engineering colleges are well equipped with a highly knowledgeable staff for teaching this amazing subject. The subjects will also deal with complicated electronic circuits, which are able to produce mechanical movements. The movements will be programmed in order to be automated.
