Overview Of Mechanical Engineering Graphics

Introduction:

Engineering graphics are commonly known as technical drawings, which are mainly used to create a discipline and clear requirement description of technical items. In accordance with standardized conventions they are created. It has several fields each fields contain own task of requirements especially in the technical production where it doesn’t contain any CD&T. The main task of creating this is to determine the exact and uniqueness of the compound properties. Finally it will provide all the sufficient information to producer to manufacture the compound.

Computer-aided Design:

Generally these kinds of graphics are created only by hand tools. But today it is also done by Computer-aided- design (CAD) electronically. Literally these drawings are called as Blueprints or Blue lines. In this process the copies of the drawings are treated with chemical printing process which produces the graphics on blue paper. The method of producing the engineering drawings is called as drafting.

Criteria of engineering Drawing:

While providing the requirements the following features are essentials

  • Views of the objects, how it will be viewed from several angels.
  • Dimensions of the objects
  • Properties with certain practical limits
  • Product made up of
  • Finally the surface quantity of the product

Apart from this critical information, Line shapes, multiple views, projections, size of the object are necessary.
