Background:

Engineering mechanics is a branch of mechanical science that deals with state of motion and state of rest. It concerns more about rigid body analysis of aircraft, robotics, and space craft under gravitational forces, atmospheric forces, temperature, and dynamic forces and so on. Contribution of Sir Isaac Newton, Galileo, Euler, Varignon, Alembert and Archimedes was remarkable.

Types of engineering mechanics:

• Newtonian mechanics or Classical mechanics: Principle of mechanics was given by Sir Isaac Newton. He consolidated experimental findings and philosophy about statics and dynamics.
• Relativistic mechanics: Relativistic mechanics was first developed by Albert Einstein.
• Wave mechanics or Quantum mechanics: Quantum mechanics was investigated and described by Schrodinger and Broglie.
