Upward feedback
Upward feedback is a structured process in leadership management of delivering feedback from subordinates to managers. These feedbacks are used to identify ways to increase effective management and enhance organizational performance.
Principles in Upward feedback
Do:
Be always certain to your boss is open and receptive to acquire feedback before speaking up with him. Sharing with everybody what you are seeing and hearing in her organization. Always focus on how you can help to improve in areas.
Don't:
Imagine if your boss doesn't require feedback if he doesn't request it. Make ensure if he would like to hear your words. Presume your appreciation to boss about full situation. Provide feedback as way to get back at your boss for giving you negative feedback
Skills used in upward feedback:
There are different skills relevant to upward feedback which can be evaluated are leadership skill, Managerial skills and Soft Skills.
Leadership Skill:
Leadership is the most effective skill by which a person is responsible to influence or motivate his co-workers to accomplish a defined objective and strategy and to manage the organization in a way that they make it more cohesive in terms of profit, growth and profile.
Managerial Skill:
Managerial skill is a skill set which one associate helps an organization in different ways. They are involved in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the resources of the organization. The resources may be people, jobs, positions, technology, facilities and equipment, materials and supplies, information, and money. Managers should be capable of doing the work in different circumstances and also be capable enough to adapt with company processes as early as possible.
Soft Skill:
Soft skill refers to the personality and attitudes which guide to differentiate between two different peoples. Soft skill helps people to help him. People consist of good soft skill are always the noticeable person among other associates.

The management generally provides the support for every process, communicating its importance to managers and employees.
Clear purpose:
This feedback is usually positioned as developmental. It is not an appraisal; originally it is not designed to be tied to compensation. The aim of the upward feedback is to improve the managerial effectiveness constantly.

Upward feedback is most effective when it is embedded in a leadership development program.

Once managers acquire their feedback report, they follow-up the support is usually available for report interpretation and action planning.
Confidentiality:
