Training Management
Training is an educational process. Training can be offered as a skill development for individuals and groups. In general, training involves presentations and learning of content as a means for enhancing skills. Human resources are responsible for the training of new employees and educating them about the company and the various skills required to do the job. All these activities are referred to as training management. Individuals can learn new skills, re-learn, and re-enforce existing skills to perform their tasks effectively.
Training can be given for individuals separately or for groups. In organizations, training should not be given to individuals as if the same training is given a one time to a group of employees it would be cost effective. Training Management should be handled by the human resource department where the manager keeps a track of all training given to employees from time to time to sharpen their skills in different areas of working. There are many type of training given to all levels of employees be it at the shop floor level or at the managerial level. Human beings need continuously training in all fields of life. Even homemakers could undergo training in cooking, managing their homes economically and effectively. Managerial training is an on going process in an organization where managers are given various types of training. Training is actively leading to skilled behavior and ultimately reaching one’s goals in life / organization. In a systematic approach to training each phase of the process, produces results.
