Any profession title that holds the word ‘resort’ is bound to be a great one.
It summons vivid images of white sand, azure blue waters and sunscreen. Resort Management is about just that - managing resorts.
In current years, the definition of "resort" has expanded to include any facility that provides recreation and entertainment in combination with lodging. There are three types of management involved with resorts: Front-of-House Management, Heart-of-House Management I, and Heart-of-House Management II

These features help to boost ones career possibilities to a higher level. The term Resort at times is misused to identify a hotel that does not provide the other amenities required of a resort. However, a hotel is frequently a central feature of a resort. There are various resorts some of which are, Mega Resort, Luxury Resort, Ski resort etc.
Outlook for Resort Management: Tourism and commercial recreation is over an $800 billion industry in the United States. Globally, tourism accounts for approximately 12% of the Gross Domestic Product, employing 10% of the worldwide labor force. It is estimated that by the year 2020, more than half of all employed people in the world will be involved directly or indirectly with the tourism industry.
