Hospital As An Organization

Hospitals are those business bodies which serves the patients. They provide proper health care to the public. Today health care-service’s demand is increasing tremendously and for this reason Hospitals comes in the category of various booming organizations in the global-economy. Like every organization, for establishing hospitals, adequate fund is required and a proper planning. We all consider as an organization. Following are some of the organization plans which a hospital as an organization should follow for proper functioning:

• Emphasize or mention clearly the services which the hospital is going to serve, like will it serve the children or will it provide facilities to heart patients.
• Make a research on the things which the community will require. Evaluate what all things the healthcare will need which have to be met a little more or totally. Make the hospital different form others by serving more and efficient facility to the patient.
• The hospital owner should talk to other Doctors of different hospitals, for offering the same-service which he wants to and for which he is not having any professional. But one thing should be considered that the other hospital where that Doctor renders services is not located near by his hospital. The goal of that person is finding out what equipments and materials will the hospital need for rendering services.
• Consult the property dealer for choosing the best location for the hospital business and then consult the architect for determining conservation and construction costs. This phase of business planning will give a great help for determining the capacity and size of the hospital and cost of renovation and construction.
• Determine actual amounts and types of goods and equipments that will be required for opening up the hospital along with their intended scopes and sizes. From the market collect the price of the equipments and buy the quantity of those equipments according to the estimated budget.
• Hospital as an organization should set a budget for advertising and marketing. The different ways of doing advertisement should be adopted to make the hospital popular. The advertisement must be divided into two sections, where 1^st one will be used for advertising before hospital starts & 2^nd one when it is operating.
• Determine the needs of staffs & insurance according to the hospital’s scope and size. Determine the salaries & estimate the benefit’s costs which the hospital is going to offer its employees.
• The business plan for the hospital should be drafted properly. In the plan there should be mentioned the goals and information about the services rendered.

Therefore, hospital as an organization has to follow the same steps which any other business unit follows. Like other business a goal is set by the hospital, i.e. to serve health care facilities.
