Nat Turner’s Slave Rebelion
Turner belonged to the slaves of "upper class", who was brought up hating deeply slavery. His mother being African, hated slavery so much that she, when Turner took birth in 1800, tried to kill Turner in order to protect him so that he doesn’t spend his life as a slave. Turner was very religious and his Christianity was a vision’s religion and experience that is mystical. Mere at the age of 20, Turner had become, not officially, the head leader of religion in Southampton County situated in Virginia. Turner's Christianity accentuated not only the Israelite rescue, but also in Jerusalem in the later period of Christ and New Jerusalem’s revelatory promise. His palaver was having a place and also a religious meaning in both Virginia and Jerusalem.
Seven among his all disciples were killed because of passionate religion and anger. Will, one of them was so mistreated by the master of his and was fully covered with marks. On the night of appointment (August 21, 1831), they left from house of Turner and went to his master’s house where, having only a tomahawk and a broadax with them, all the members were killed, including 2 teens, except the infant. From there they moved to all houses the whole night and killed every American-European found except the white skinned family having no slaves. Will murdered master of his and the wife too so turbulently that Turner titled Will as "Will the Executioner." While moving through all houses they collected both weapons and slaves. By next day, they were attacking Jerusalem but were defeated by a force of European-Americans. Turner made a cave to hide over there, but by the arrival of troops, the countryside was scoured by them and slaves were executed in hundreds. Turner escaped but was caught in October and hanged and skinned on November 11, 1831. Virginians went into panic. Hundreds left County and many fled the state. The result of the failure of his rebellion was very merciless. Men in black were being murdered by white gangs.
