Diplomatic History
Diplomatic history is branch of history which deals with history of the international relations between the states. The diplomatic history could be distinct from the international relationship wherein the former could focus itself with international or foreign of one state as the later deals with the relationship between two states or more states. The diplomatic history mainly focused highly with the history of the diplomacy but the global relations deals generally more with the present events and making a model in order to provide descriptive ideas on the global politics. It distinguishes with the political history concerning about the politics within the country or state. The political history of the world is the history of several political entities developed by the people all over the world and the way these nations or states define their country borders.
History of the political thinking date backs to the antiquity. The political history, and therefore the history of the political thinking all over the human existences extend through up to the Renaissance and the medieval period. In the Age of the Enlightenment, the political entities developed from the basic systems of the monarchy and self-governance to the communist systems and complex democratic which exist of the Modern Era and the industrialized era, in parallel, the political systems have developed from unclearly defined frontier-kind boundaries to the specific boundaries existing now.
Even though much of the existing written history may be categorized as diplomatic history- Thucydides, definitely, is among other things, mainly concerned with the connections among the states- the modern type of diplomatic history was actually coined in the ninetieth century by Leopold von Ranke, who was the main German historian of the ninetieth century.
