Violence

The denotative meaning of the term violence refers to the expression of the physical force against the will of an individual or a group of people. It also means the compelling actions which are taken against a particular person. According to law and culture, violence has been a major concern throughout the world. There are many actions taken by the law and culture to suppress and stop the violence.  This broad term covers a lot of meaning.

Neurobiologist Vs Scientist

There are many research and studies that are carried out in sociology and the psychology which has been determined as the causes for the violent behavior in humans. According to the Neurobiologist Jan Volavka “violent behavior is defined as intentional physically aggressive behavior against another person." On the other hand, scientist disagrees with the concept that the violent is inherent in humans. There are evidences for peacefulness and violence being the primary characteristics among the prehistoric humans.

Crime Report of Men and Women

When it comes to gender and violence, often women are considered invisible. Even the empirical studies and the theoretical considerations have ignored the presence of women. Later in the 1970s, the occurrence of the criminal transgression by women in different contexts and how is it different from those of men. The occurrence of violence against the women has been highlighted by the feminist. For example, in the year of 2006 of all the crimes that were reported, about seventy six percent of the crime is performed by males. This ratio shows explicitly the huge imbalance between the men and the women who were in prison. In the year 2004, only about seven percent of the population in prison has been made by women. This shows that men are the aggressors who indulge in lot of crimes including sexual assault, harassment, rape and even in domestic violence. Shockingly women have been the victims which have been estimated as about twenty percent. About twenty five percent of women are subjected to violence at any point of their life.

Another statistics say that high rates of offense are being committed by young people including theft, assault and rape. In the year 2006, about thirty percent of the arrestees were under twenty-one years of age. The use of drugs, school truancy, and vandalism among the young generation has been considered as the main reason for the increase in the crime rates and violence in youths.

Another important thing that has to be considered is the religious and the political ideology which has been main reason for the interpersonal violence. In the name of religious war there are many setbacks happened in the history of the world.
