Fashion Freedom

It is not easy to define fashion freedom with regard to gender but lot can be written off on this topic. Earlier people lived up to the expectations of their community, society and identity particularly in dress codes very much matters to them as disciplines and culture is reflected on them. Times have changed since then and people no longer live for others even parents or siblings and completely free to decide on the choices. Fashion freedom uttering the very words would excite the youngsters of modern society of men, women and others.

Identity and fashion

In the past the word attire would explain many things about a person including his culture, language, religion, race, tribe and geographical locations. One way attire or the dress codes perhaps confirm his/her identity and uniqueness. This factor had both advantages and disadvantages. Cultural differences and arguments led to the misunderstanding of each other with lots of difference of opinions. On the other hand the cultural uniqueness was kept alive.

Impact of modernization

Today one can hardly make out with the attire whether he belongs to any particular tribe or region. Westernization and globalization have influenced most part of the world, men and women who are attracted and are proud in wearing garments imported. National inheritance is lost and irrespective of the geographical locations this ‘jeans’ mania is gripping the majority of population. Except for certain Islam nations where still women are denied their fashion freedom, continue to be in veil.

Restrictions and freedom

But still in other nations though having granted or taken fashion freedom many women are criticized severely for being explosive or care free in their dress codes except for professional settings in which certain restrictions are created. Metros are crowded with girls and boys wearing fashionable attire often though bewitching peer group are often wondered by the earlier generation people who only attribute the word ‘crazy’ world.

So except for few regions fashion freedom has been more than equal to access to both men and women even other genders. And so people are obsessed with fashion and go after the trends which they themselves set. Even in movies where celebrities especially the females’ kind of clothes instantly gain popularity. And likewise boys shop dresses which are worn by their favorite actors and do not worry about the looks or the environment in which they wear them.  Such are the interest created by this fashion mania among the youngsters who strive to look more attractive and beautiful by wearing attire that perhaps not suit certain occasions.
