Abortion

Abortion is the termination of a pregnancy or by removing the unborn baby which is the fetus or embryo in the womb of its mother resulting in death. Abortion usually takes place due to unhealthy conditions of the mother like complications during pregnancy or voluntarily people terminate the unborn child. At times with or without the knowledge of the mother abortion is forced by the parents, relatives, and friends and at time by the husbands or the father of the child in cases of unwed mother.

Sin and crime

Many world religions portray abortion as sin and legally it is a crime yet the practices and cases increase every year. In the term therapeutic abortion in order to prevent and safety of the pregnant female the fetus or embryo is removed by the experts often at least to save one life rather risking both lives of the mother and baby.

Generally the term abortion would mean induced by human beings resulting in the death of the unborn baby while the term miscarriages are used for natural way and spontaneously happening due to complications. And these types induced and spontaneous or the two types which consists of many other implications.

Induced abortion

An induced abortion occurs on various factors or circumstances. In many of the communities and societies worldwide these have behind cultural, socio and economic implications upon which they are carried out. Considering one factor may be the health conditions and physical and mental safety of the pregnant women. But many other poor families they are aborted for economical reasons for instance earlier in India in some of the places if the unborn baby is found to be female, they terminated through some indigenous and herbal medicines for these children are expensive in the way to rearing them and giving them in marriage with dowry is a costly affair.

In the case of unwed mothers in certain societies the women are considered as immoral hence for fear of image on the society unmarried girls terminate the fetus in the womb.

Spontaneous abortion

The another type is spontaneous which has to be considered as miscarriages that happen naturally when a woman is not healthy and cannot give birth to a child normally. Lifestyles, food, accidents and due any illness of the mother the fetus may be affected and terminated in the womb. These days abortion in both the forms occur in huge numbers but one factor which can be blamed most is the westernization and lifestyle caught between both society and freedom.
