Journalism as a profession is an interesting, adventurous and a challenging job. It has earned more popularity in the recent times. Journalism as a career is considered an esteemed and highly paid profession. Journalists themselves play an important role in the development of a country. They are the ones who give people information about daily happenings and unusual activities in the society. The popular adage that ‘the pen is mightier than the sword’ is being proved right by the journalists of the current era. In recent times, news media have become the chief providers of information and views on public affairs; but the role of journalism, along with other forms of mass media, is undergoing rapid changes resulting from the wide popularity of the Internet. In today’s world, media, journalism and newspaper related jobs are the most sought after jobs as much of the investment is upon this sector.
