Buildings

The word building refers to, any human made constructions which is used for sheltering or continuous occupancy. Normally building varies in different shapes and functions.  Building helps humankind in many needs like sheltering, proving privacy, to store the belongings, and especially to live comfortably.  As per civil engineering buildings are defined as, house, worship center, etc, that has foundation, wall, etc. this helps in protecting human being and their belonging s from rain, wind, sun etc. The types of buildings are Agricultural buildings, Commercial buildings, residential buildings, educational buildings, etc.

Agricultural Building

We will explain about green house in the agricultural building. Green house can be called as glass house; it is the building where plants are grown. These normally differ in size, ranging from small sheds to large buildings. Green houses can be divided into glass green houses and plastic green houses. It covers up with different type of materials like glass, plastic, and roofs. Usually it is covered up with glass or plastic walls, why because? It heats up because incoming visible solar radiation from the sun is absorbed by plants soil, other things inside the building. The primary heating mechanism is said to be convection. To drop the temperature, a small window can be opened near the roof of the green house. Glass green houses are most often used for high tech productions for vegetables and flowers.

Commercial Building

Commercial building is one among the types of buildings. We will discuss skyscraper and shopping mall as from the commercial buildings.  The tallest buildings are normally called as skyscrapers. The building which is 80 meters i.e. 262 feet is considered as skyscraper and it protrudes above its built environment and will make the changes.  A shopping mall, shopping center or simply mall is the complex of shops, containing one or more buildings. The complex with interconnecting walkways, this helps visitors to easily walk through it and it will consist of parking area.

Residential Buildings

The apartment block is one among the residential builds. The buildings with huge height are now possible with the invention of the elevator or lift in buildings. The materials which are used for the structural system of these buildings are reinforced concrete and steel. While comparing single family houses, the apartment blocks will occupy more populations and helps in decreasing the cost of municipal infrastructure. These are said to be some types of buildings.
