Packed Towers

According to the principle of counter-flow, the packed tower is built, so the gas or airstream always travel upwards through the tower and low energy consumption on its way. By the use of correct packing the performance of a packed towers scrubber can be improved. In correct packing, the migration of the unwanted components from gas phase to liquid phase happens, where the very intensive contact between both phases is organized. For the most favorable efficiencies and for low operational costs, a well structured packing has the maximized contact surface between unwanted gaseous components and the scrubber fluid. The patented structured packing is used due to the considerable benefits. The patented packing is well structured, has low power consumption, low pressure drop and most importantly I’s durability is good. The packed tower can be used as gas absorbers, coolers, air humidifiers, or condensers. These are mostly applied in the field of industrial gas purification. This packed tower is well designed to remove the most common gas contaminants at very high efficiencies up to 99%, with low pressure loss (3” of water or less). The packed towers are used in application most effectively, where the gases do not contained particulates it should be cleaned.

Usage of packed tower scrubber

The amount of scrubber liquid flowing through the tower is constant; nevertheless the gas flow can vary from 0 to calculated maximum flow. The packed tower scrubber is perfect for handling in emergency, it can handle the strong flow fluctuations, and it is used to reach the high efficiencies with a well structured packing.

Packed power tanks

By using the carbon steel, stainless steel, specialty alloys or plastics the packed tower tanks can be constructed, but the packing can be neither ceramic nor plastic material. The units are available with the capacities that range from 200 to 50,000cfm.

7055 packed towers

The type 7055 packed towers the low energy gas scrubbers; this scrubber is used in gas absorption, cooling, and recovery. They are widely used in many industries for a broad range of applications, due to their low power consumption and their high scrubbing efficiency. Even though these tend to clog the packing, scrubbers of this type will perform best when gases to be handled are free of particles.  There are some other types of scrubbers that are commonly used for gases containing particulates; some of the types are 7185 sub micron, 7014 Ejector-venturi and 7032 chamber scrubbers.
