Labour Law
Labour law is otherwise called labor law or employment law. It is an organization of laws, administrative decision and guides which deals with legal rights and limitations of working people and their associations. Labour law acts as a mediator between the trade unions, employers and employees.
Divisions in Labour law:
There are two divisions of labour law collective labour law and individual labour law.
From the 19th and 20th century labour movement has been active and influential in enacting of laws protecting labour rights. The main aim of labor law is to balance the negotiating power between employers and employees.
Labor law endows employees the right to unionize and permits employers and employees to employs in certain activities like strikes, picketing, seeking injunctions, and lockouts so as to have their demands rewarded.
The vicinity of labor law is administered by federal law, state law and judicial decisions. It is also directed by regulations and decisions of administrative agencies.
