Copyright
Definition:
“The Copyright is a set of restricted rights that is being granted by the ‘law of a jurisdiction’ to the author or creator of an original work, which includes the right to copy, distribute and adapt the work.”
The Copyright does not shelter the ideas, only their expression or fixation. In the majority of jurisdictions, copyright arises upon fixation and there is no necessity for that to be registered. Copyright protection is applicable only for a specific period of time, after which the work is said to go into the public domain.
